About Us

My name is Matthew Hill.  I am the owner of AEC BIM Services.  I have been in the construction/engineering industry for over 20 years.  Throughout my career I have provided training, customization, and utilization of 2D and 3D software in that time. I have utilized such software as AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, Lumion BIM 360 and Navisworks while providing support, documentation, best practices and processes. 

My job is to provide leadership, support and motivation to the team regarding BIM/VDC. The best way to get and keep an employee motivated is to give them ownership of the project(s) they are creating and managing. This entitles the employee to care about the outcome of the project as opposed to just doing their job. I strongly believe in a team mentality. In my opinion teamwork is the only way to complete a successful project.

Everything we do in BIM/VDC is geared towards efficiencies for the processes and projects. If there is a process that is not beneficial to the project, we won’t use it. However, there are many processes that help immensely in every project that we construct. You will see some of those processes throughout this site. Coordination and collaboration are the keys to a successful project. This goes back to the team mentality. If one of us fails, we all fail. BIM has helped to make it less likely for the team to fail. If the project is modeled in 3D, to the correct dimensions, and well-coordinated there is no possibility for the elements to clash when using 3D field technologies.
